[00:00:00] Hey folks. Welcome to the 2X eCommerce podcast. So I was not actually meant to record this. I had called it off for the year, but I. Really thoughts. I all you, my audience, this episode. And so I’m recording now. This is the final episode for 2024. And. Hope you’re all. Well.
I published a newsletter. And I’m going to read the newsletter to yourself just to kick this off and whatever comes after. Would be a bonus. So. This is the newsletter. If you haven’t subscribed to the newsletter. I’d suggest you do. Just go to subscribe dot 2X eCommerce dot com. I publish. Typically at least once a week, sometimes I publish twice a week to it and it’s got like in-depth tips and stories. On essentially how to navigates in e-commerce [00:01:00] and. Life in general. So definite E chin into to that. There’s a more. Wellness focused to it. Sports they’re still off the score. It’s commerce. It’s wellness, commerce. Okay. So I’m just going to read the newsletter to yourselves.
And, , from there, as I said, if there’s a bonus. And sums of my thoughts after reading it, I would share it with you. It’s not something I would have been able to do in the newsletter because it’s gone out already. So 20, 24, it’s a year of learning and unwinding. Hey friends. It’s here. The final day of 20, 24.
And my last notes to you for the N. This year through a lot at OSS. Didn’t it. But through the challenges I’ve discovered depths of self-awareness. I didn’t know. Were there.
So with that came one of the best crash courses in human behavior I’ve ever had, which Sonic unexpected silver lining. So I want to wrap this year by sharing some of the hard earned lessons. I believe Mata. Whether you’re [00:02:00] building scaling, or just surviving in this space. These are in platitudes they’re practices that have shaped or reshaped. Rather how I work on live. Here’s what’s I’ve lent.
First equity is your leverage. Protect it, but share it wisely. If you’re building something a real significance, you can’t do it alone. Be obsessive. Not only about retaining equity, but also about strategically sharing it with those who are real value drivers. This isn’t about. Generosity.
It’s about creating long-term alignment with the people who make your business better. The second learning is your product or experience is your brand. So nail it. It’s easy to get distracted by markets in hacks or chasing the next shiny growth channel. Well, the truth is simple. Nothing beats, a great product or a memorable customer experience. When these are solid, they create a loyalty loop. You can build a legacy on. Third learning, [00:03:00] be a person of value inside outs. Your personal brand matters. Whether through content creation or meaningful in-person interactions, show up publicly with authenticity. Not just with the new company. The more value you provide to others?
The more you are trapped opportunities.
Fourth lesson. I R L or in real life is where the magic happens. As much as we live on nine. Nothing compares to the energy exchange that happens face to face. Whether it’s hybrid work. Meetings or events. Being present, accelerates relationships and opportunities in a way, no slack thread or email chain can. Fifth learning. Tik TOK shop is not optional. If you’re not taking Tik TOK shop. Seriously yet. 2024 should be your wake up call. It’s the most inspiring platform that is turning users into creators. Their investments in creates a tools and commerce integration is draw dropping. Dive [00:04:00] in it’s where commerce is heading. Six learning. Founders, put yourself out there. You’re one of your business’s greatest assets. Get visible. Both on social platforms and in real life, share your journey, your story on your expertise.
People buy into people, not just products. Seventh is diversify your income stream. If there’s one thing this year has reinforced its importance of resilience. Whether it’s a new revenue stream. Within your business or personal investments. Diversification is a game changer for stability and growth. So as I look back on 2024, I’m grateful for the moment of connections.
We’ve shed. Whether it’s through these letters, conversations in person or DMS exchanged at 1:00 AM. We’re building something bigger than just business where creates an impact. Here’s to 2025 filled with growth. Learning and maybe some fun along the way. Keep going keep built-in and I’ll see [00:05:00] you on the other side with gratitude, Kony.
Okay. So while I read that I had some thoughts on this. And I think the first thing is. Dialing a bit down on like my health. From a metrics perspective is something I’m going to be doing in 2025. For the last two years, I’ve owned a whoop. Like a whoop band and I have, it has sort of helped me improve and understand my physiology. It’s helped me understand my sleep. My energy levels. , And it’s essentially helped me, , understand like my heart rate, how my hots actually works.
Whether it’s when I meditate, or when I’m working out.
It helps, you should give me lots of data, but I didn’t renew it this year. And. I’m just not going to feel bad about myself in the morning. If I’ve got three hours of sleep. Moving forward because 2025 is , It’s a very [00:06:00] aggressive time in my life personally. And yeah. I’m just going to have to not give a fuck about. health that much. As much as I understand the fundamentals of health, I’m going to have to do what I need to do for the business. I’m going to have to dial down a little bit on the health aspect and focus really on my business. I would still stop realize my family commitments, but. Hell’s going to have to take a box seats. That’s not to say that I’m still not going to focus on wellness, , which is balanced.
. So as an example, rather than going to the gym, I’m I do my workouts closest to the office or to my home when I’m working from home. . So if I, for instance, have a meeting on a Saturday and I need to be an apocrine, I will go for the meeting. So it’s just a prioritization of gets in shit done for the business.
That’s going to take [00:07:00] more priority in 2025. That’s just the way it is now. It’s the season though. We’re at it doesn’t mean 9 20, 26. I wouldn’t switch things open 20, 24. My, my wellness and my health. , And my wellness and my health. Cheryl. Took priority over many things on undock. Thoughts has been changing towards the end of 2024, and it’s going to change in 2025. The other points I wanted to make is like the in real life. Points on there. Just being in person is going to speak the highest priority. Activity I’m going to be making in 2025 or we’re going to be making in general in my company in 2025. We’re organizing private dinners for founders of e-commerce businesses in 2025. We’re going to for now, we’re going to be working on four private dentists. It might [00:08:00] expand. But for now it’s for private dinners in London. In each quarter in 2025 vats in non-negotiable, we need to build community in person. I’ll be sharing more details about it.
Another point I want to make now, before I wrap up is just learning to be a creator.
So like, my focus now is how. My as a founder. Going to be a content creator. . And use constant creation to. Amplify. What we’re doing. Any commerce. So for me, That is leveraged. That’s an ultimate leverage just puts in yourself out there. And building an audience and building a community. And I’m not talking just about LinkedIn here. I’m talking about. The tick talks , and the Instagrams as an actually learning. Been in the thick of the woods. [00:09:00] I’m learning about how to be a creator turning up every single day. And puts in our content and learning from the content you’re putting out there, learning from other creators and just build in this ecosystem out. Or have people that really care about what I have to say, who listened to me? . And when I push out. Are our products to our brands. They have that trust that because it’s from me.
There has to be value from it.
So it’s fully intentional. And I think putting yourself out there as a founder is like super important now.
And I think that’s pretty much wraps. Things up on 20, 24. And I’m glad I am having this conversation with you, or you’re listening to this. And, , I’m glad I just published [00:10:00] this. So. You’re probably going to listen to this in 2025. I wish you a , very happy new year ahead. , and I wish you. The best in health. Wealth and happiness, Britney. And yeah, chest to, to a very strong 20, 25 with balance.
Have a good one.
